Our History:Women in Exhibitions Network (WIEN) began in Europe by some women who felt that they needed more – as women - than traditional associations were offering. In an industry with over 70% women, WIEN is a club to raise each other up to get to the next executive level, start a new company, or have the support of other working moms who know how challenging our industry can be. From Our Members: "Creating the Women in Exhibitions Network North American chapter was one of the highlights, or silver linings, of the pandemic period. It was a fabulous way to spend time with women I respect and whose company I enjoy when the rest of the events universe was falling apart. The future of the group is bright, as we have a strong team of professionals who are pleased to share their time and talents. As my fellow co-founder and executive team member (Laura Purdy) put it, at WIEN, you'll find your tribe." "Being a member of Women in Exhibitions North America has been a wonderful experience of collaboration, support, education and fun! Navigating the covid pandemic and having access to such a powerful and experienced group of women has been important to hear and learn what my industry colleagues are doing to return to face to face events. Every interaction has been full of important information and new connections." |
